PHOENIX -- Arizona Humane Society employees got quite a surprise Monday when they discovered two bobcat kittens had been turned in to the shelter.

There is no word as to where the baby bobcats were found or who took them to the shelter.

The staff called the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center to pick up Bobby and Socks.

Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is a nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates sick, injured, orphaned, displaced and abandoned wild animals. Most are released back into the wild.

AHS staff reminds the public that if you encounter a wild animal that appears to be orphaned, observe it for a few days because oftentimes a mother will leave her young alone in order to find food but will return.
