MESA, Ariz. -- A motorized parachute crashed into a couple of Mesa homes Saturday afternoon, injuring the 12-year-old passenger, according to police.
Mesa Police Sgt. Tony Landato said the parachute crashed as it was taking off in the area of Warner and Meridian roads.
The preteen girl's injuries were not life-threatening, but she was transported to a hospital as a precaution, Landato said.
The adult man piloting the parachute was not transported.
Landato said there was minor damage to the homes.
