PHOENIX (AP) -- Bond is set at $10,000 for a woman accused of fatally running over her boyfriend in Phoenix.

Authorities say 20-year-old Brittney Nicole Nolan had her initial court appearance Monday.

She was arrested Saturday afternoon on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal collision after 20-year-old Jacob Rice died after being hit by a car while out walking.

Police say Rice's body was found by a jogger.

They say Nolan told investigators she went out looking for Rice after they fought.

According to police, Nolan says she was using her cellphone when she lost control of her car and thought she had struck a pole.

Police say while Nolan didn't appear impaired, she admitted to consuming alcohol during the night.

Nolan didn't have a lawyer as of Monday.
