Map: Fatal head-on crash in Gilbert
GILBERT, Ariz. -- Gilbert police are investigating a fatal traffic collision near Williams Field Road and Parkcrest Street.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Sgt. Bill Balafas said a silver Pontiac passenger car crossed left of center while traveling east on Williams Field Road and collided head-on with a Ford pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The 28-year-old driver of the Pontiac died on impact. The driver of the pickup truck is in critical condition and a passenger is in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
