TEMPE -- The couple who jumped from the second-story window of their burning condominium in Tempe on Wednesday have been identified as a local comedian and his girlfriend.

Alan Schuler is a member of the improvisational comedy group Jester'Z. He is currently in the hospital with second-degree burns, although his mother says his condition is improving. His girlfriend was also injured but has been released from the hospital.

Jester'Z will host a benefit comedy show next Thursday, Feb. 25 to raise money for Schuler and his girlfriend, who lost nearly everything in the fire.

A blog has been set up to provide information about the ways people can help the couple recover. For more information, visit http://alanandjen.wordpress.
