Child dies after toy box lid falls on her head in Chandler home

CHANDLER - A toddler is dead after a bizarre accident involving a toy box.

Firefighters in Chandler say a 3-year-old girl died after it appears she reached inside a toy box and the lid fell on her head.

Paramedics reportedly found the girl unresponsive after being called to her Chandler home on Tuesday near Frye and Alma School just before noon.
The girl was taken to Chandler Hospital where she died.

Detectives with Chandler fire call the incident a "traumatic" accident. The child that died was one of a set of triplets.
