Lose weight in six weeks? A Queen Creek woman says it's possible.

In fact, Jennifer Rudko said this is the only weight plan she's ever looked at that made sense.

"I had got tired of getting bigger and bigger and bigger and then it got to the point where none of my clothes fit anymore," Rudko said.

Rudko said her weight became an issue after she had her kids.

While she's tried different types of diets nothing seemed to work long term. That is until her husband's cousin turned her on to Michael Thurmond's "Six Week Body Makeover."

"It's the only plan I've ever looked at and said, 'That makes sense,'" she said.

The first thing Rudko had to do was make a blueprint.

"The program came with instructions on how to blueprint your body, how to determine which of the five body types you were, so you could see what combinations of food you needed to eat, how many carbs you needed to eat in a day, how many vegetables," she said.

Not only did Rudko's blueprint help her figure out her body type, it also showed her how her metabolism works. It then determined what types of food would be good for her and what muscles needed to be worked out in order to re-shape her body.

"I do not process carbs well, that I need to eliminate the amount and quality of carbs I eat, the type of protein I could eat that would help me burn fat and the type of protein that would bulk me up."

Rudko's new eating plan has her eating five meals a day. This includes watching her portion sizes, eating fruits, vegetables, lean chicken and no dairy products.

She also drinks at least 100 ounces of water every day.

As far as her exercise goes, Rudko walks at least five times a week for an hour. She started the program back in January and in six weeks she lost 24 pounds.

But she didn't stop the plan after six weeks.

Now, nearly six months later, Rudko has lost a total of 56 pounds, weighing in at 132.

"Once you see how you’re going to look and feel and the results, you will do it," she said. "What I suggest to everyone that is interested in trying it is get the program and try it for one week because the results inside of one week will amaze you."

Rudko's husband also did the program and lost 55 pounds.

Some other things that people can get with Thurmond's "Six Week Body Makeover" are an exercise video, cookbook and dining-out guide.
