'American Idol' finalist Scott MacIntyre releases inspirational book

PHOENIX -- "Since captivating the nation as a finalist on "American Idol," Scott MacIntyre has continued to move audiences to laughter, tears, and standing ovations all over the world," read MacIntyre's biography. "As an acclaimed singer-songwriter, he has toured in arenas across North America, headlined concerts in Japan, Austria, England, Canada, and the US, and written and released his latest CD Heartstrings debuting at #18 on the iTunes Pop Album Chart.

"Visually impaired since birth, he started playing piano by ear at age 3, began classical lessons at 6, and subsequently learned to play organ, guitar, bass and drums"

Now MacIntyre can add a new accomplishment to his collection -- published author. His inspirational book, "By Faith, Not By Sight" hit bookstores this week, and MacIntyre couldn't be more excited.

MacIntyre sat down with 3TV's Yetta Gibson to talk about his book and his plans for the future.
