PHOENIX -- It's graduation day for more than a dozen pint-size patients at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Eighteen pediatric patients -- all younger than 2 -- are graduating from the CHIEF Program, the first of its kind in the Southwest and one of only a handful in the entire country.

The Complex Congenital Heart Infant Evaluation and Follow-Up Program, otherwise known as CHIEF, is designed to monitor infants born with heart conditions that frequently require a series of heart surgeries.
