PHOENIX -- Ever wonder how many times a month married couples really have sex? Or why men cheat? Or what really turns a woman on?

Relationship expert and author Mike Lindstrom sat down with Good Morning Arizona’s Kaley O’Kelly and Javier Soto this week for some straight talk about relationships.

Lindstrom hosts an annual "Taboo" Event, where you can ask all the things you're usually too embarrassed to bring up.

One of those hot topics? Cheating.

"A man wants to know that he can still have it. It's reaffirming of his ego," Lindstrom says. "Women cheat for emotional reasons. Men cheat for physical reasons."

Lindstrom tells us that one of the top issues that comes up in the Taboo events is: “sexpectations.” That means knowing what your partner expects and wants in the bedroom.

"It's having the conversation," he says."How often you you want it? What are your turn-ons? What are your turn-offs?"

Lindstrom says when he asks how many couples actually talk about stuff like this, he finds that most simply don't, because it's uncomfortable.

In our high tech society couples also need to consider the rules of engagement using social media, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For example, is it good etiquette to remain friends with your ex on Facebook?

"Facebook and social media has been the number one contributor to violations to a relationship," Lindstrom tells us.

Communication is key on this topic and many others , including money, life goals, and past relationships.

The annual Taboo event is Friday from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm at the Wrigley Mansion. For more information click here.

Lindstrom co-authored the book  "Men: 10 Secrets Every Woman Should Know From Two Guys That Do". For more information, you can visit his website
