Arby's has really stepped up to the plate! They are offering a FREE Roast Beef Sandwich to anyone who brings three canned food items to Arby's from April 21-23. ALL Arby's in the Valley and northern Arizona are taking part in this drive.

DigiGirlz event

Celebrity Golf Classic

Latino Community Town Hall
Sen. Jeff Flake will join Tony Rivero, Peoria City Councilman to host a Town Hall event in Peoria  April 23. The town hall will address issues of importance to the West Valley, as well as specific concerns of the Latino community. The town hall will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 23 at Rock of Ages Ministries, 11427 N. 79th Avenue in Peoria.

Tempe Town Lake western dam
The City of Tempe will host an informational meeting at Tempe Center for the Arts on Wednesday about the upcoming construction project to replace the Tempe Town Lake western dam. People interested in the project may attend an open house at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, from 6-7:30 p.m. on April 23.

Valley Metro changes
Valley Metro is asking for feedback on proposed service changes scheduled to take effect Oct. 27, 2014. The next meeting open to the public will be April 23, 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., at the City of Phoenix Burton Barr Library lecture room located at 1221 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ.

National Lost Dog Day

Shakespeare's birthday
Today is Shakespeare's birthday and World Book day! Foothills Academy is a charter school in the Scottsdale/Cave Creek and will be participating in World Book Night on April 23, 2014, which is a campaign to give thousands of free books to light and non-readers. They will be handing out books to light or non-readers at The Greyhound station downtown at 2115 E Buckeye Rd. Phoenix, AZ and in the courthouse area downtown at the park.
