The Maricopa County Home and Landscape Show, Arizona's largest locally-produced home show, kicked off the summer season at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix April 26-28. With more than 500 vendors, attendees to the 3-day show were inspired by green living examples, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and more. The show also provided a variety of design ideas, techniques and seminars for all of your home improvement needs, whether it’s “DIY” or hiring a professional.
The stars of HGTV’s Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, were in attendance Saturday and Sunday presenting two seminars on successful home renovations and the current reality of real estate. A new Air-Conditioning unit along with an attic efficiency upgrade were raffled off.
April’s show benefited the Phoenix chapter of the non-profit YouthBuild. In YouthBuild programs, low-income young people aged 16 to 24 work full-time for 6 to 24 months toward their GEDs or high school diplomas while learning job skills by building affordable housing in their communities. After completing the program, the youth attend college, are placed in jobs, or both.
