Never Forget: 9/11 Memorial Walk
The City of Phoenix Fire and Police Department will commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the September 11 tragedy by participating in the "Never Forget" Memorial Walk. The City of Mesa and HandsOn Greater Phoenix will host the 9/11 National Day of service on Sunday September 11 at the Mesa Fire Station 218, located at 845 N. The Hall of Flame Fire Museum will hold a memorial service and brunch on Sunday Sept. 11 to honor firefighters and rescue personnel who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks.  A vehicle procession will begin at 9am followed by an inside service at 10am.  The museum is located at 6101 E. Teddy Bear Drive
Teddy Bear Day is Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Glendale. The event features “Al the Bear,” who will be available for pictures, as well as make-and-take arts and crafts, special treats and exclusive deals.
