Volunteers needed for Granite Mountain Hotshots memorial and funerals
The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Incident Management Team is reaching out to all Honor Guards, Pipes & Drums, Buglers, and Rifle Teams to help with the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial, individual funerals in Prescott, and to facilitate transfer of fallen brothers, escorts, and subsequent honor guards in their home towns. Participants are needed starting now through late July.
 
Those wishing to participate must pre-register.
Send the following information to honorguardforyarnellfallen@gmail.com:
 
1. Total number of personnel coming, and their position; Specify Honor Guard, Rifle Team, Pipes & Drums, or Buglers
2. Dates available
3. Your HG unit's detail leader, email and cell phone number
4. Indicate if you have been requested by the family of one of the fallen to be their escort from Prescott to their home town, etc.

Please do not arrive without having first received email confirmation. For questions or clarification, potential participants can contact the Honor Guard Branch at 928-771-0124.

Event Info: Check-in/ Registration begins at 7A a.m.; Warm-up begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday July 13. The event will run through Sunday, July 14 at the Scottsdale Hilton Resort.

Banana truck
The Peel the Love Summer Truck Tour is a 4,800-mile, 102-day journey organized by DOLE® Bananas to bring delectable new summer recipes, serving suggestions and free samples to healthy-eating fans coast-to-coast - and to encourage Americans (and especially kids) to eat more fruits and vegetables.  The Tour visits Phoenix June 27-July 7 as one of eight banana-loving cities known for highr per-capita banana consumption and supermarket support. 

Visitors to the truck can receive FREE tastings, recipes, product samples and coupons. Plus, BOBBY BANANA, Dole's 6-foot bright-yellow banana character will be on hand to sign autographs and hand out balloons, hats, stickers, pencils and other fun items to kids.
