The film Ticket Out will enter platform release on Friday, September 28th in Phoenix.
The Film starts an exclusive run in Phoenix at Harkins Theaters Shea on Friday September 28th.
The film, written by Twilight creator Susanne Collins and Chris Noonan, writer/director of Babe, is set in the world of the controversial underground railways that aid women and children escaping from abusive, sometimes murderous spouses. These organizations frequently come into conflict with law enforcement in getting families to safety.
Film stars Ray Liotta, Alexandra Breckenridge (True Blood, American Horror Story) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Revolution.)
Liotta plays a taut and mysterious character that seemingly aids Jocelyn (Breckenridge) and her children in their flight from her vengeful ex-husband (Burke.) In crossing state lines, Jocelyn finds herself and her children pursued not only by an unscrupulous private investigator, but also by the FBI.
Sojourner Center was founded in 1977 as an emergency program for women who had recently been released from prison. A passionate group of 12 visionaries recognized that women who were leaving the criminal justice system rarely had the skills or support to be successful in the outside world. Sojourner Center provided a temporary home as well as programs that taught self-sufficiency, empowerment, and family skills, which helped the women rebuild their lives and re-enter society.
Sojourner Center is the largest domestic violence shelter the United States. As a direct result of its capacity, Sojourner Center is able to serve over 2,900 women and children annually.
