PHOENIX -- There's nothing like the website Pinterest to spark new ideas for cooking, decorating and more. So we decided to take some of our favorite "pins" and test them out! And every Monday on Good Morning Arizona, we'll tell you how it went.

This week, Pinterest Influencer and HelloSociety's Tastemaker Alexandra Evjen shared some beauty tips that travel well. From the 5-Minute Face, to summer hairdos and must-have nail art, the Pinterest-inspired tips for jet setting ladies can help you look fabulous while you're on the road.

One of Alexandra's favorite Pinterest discoveries is Keiko Lynn, because she pins and blogs about many easy-to-do things. One of Keiko's pins shows off the beautiful "no-makeup makeup look."

The look begins with a good illuminator. "MAC makes this great illuminating cream," says Alexandra. "You just put it all over your face to start, and it gives you that glow."

You also need a lightweight moisturizer with SPF protection, like one Alexandra showed us by Bare Minerals. Next, you'll need pressed powder that delivers a full-coverage look with just a couple of quick brush strokes.

Light pink and nude shades of lipstick are also really hot this summer; so don't forget to pack one in your overnight bag.

And if you find yourself with a few extra minutes, you can give your eyes a light touch-up with an eye shadow combination set from MAC. With a four-color pallet you can create a perfect day look as well as a smoldering evening look.

For the finishing touch, don't forget your waterproof mascara, especially if you're heading to the beach.

While having a fresh face on the road can be your best asset, you'll also want to maintain your mane. The beachy wave look is great for almost any hair type, and looks good no matter how young or old you are. Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray can be used to get the look. It comes in 1.7oz bottles, ideal for carry-ons.

If you want an up-do for the beach, use Oscar Blandi's Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray, and pull your hair into a top knot. There are hundreds of top knot tutorials on Pinterest and you can find some that can be done in less than one minute with just a hair tie and a few bobby pins.

Just looking at Pinterest, you'll be able to see that long nails, bright polish and nail art all very trendy right now. You can achieve the perfect nail look without ever having to step in a nail salon by packing press-on nails like these from Sally Hansen. Plus, you don't need to worry about your nails chipping while you're on vacation.

Smooth, soft skin is also a must this summer.  Alexandra found a lot of sugar scrub DIY recipes on Pinterest but there was one that caught her eye, because it's only two ingredients! When she's on the road she puts it into a travel container to keep her skin glowing.
