ARIZONA BBQ FESTIVAL
The 4th Annual Arizona BBQ Festival is this Saturday. It takes place at the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. The event is featuring more than 25 top BBQ purveyors. Visitors will be able to sample tons of smoked meats for only $2, or they can buy a whole rack of BBQ ribs. The event will also have a "Redneck Games Arena" hosting games like, watermelon seed spitting contests and dead lawn mower races. Admission is $12 and kids 12 and under are free. PICNIC AND POLO CLINIC
The Arizona Polo Club is holding its Picnic and Polo Clinic on Saturday at 3:00 pm. It'll be at Westworld in Scottsdale. Visitors can either sit back, relax and watch a polo game, or if they want, actually participate in a polo game, learning first hand, what Polo is all about. The Scottsdale Ice Den in Scottsdale is holding its 10th Annual Desert Ice Bonspiel. The featured event is the Curling competition. Thirty two teams from all over the world will be competing. Competitors slide a 42 pound granite stone across 143 feet of ice while two other team mates sweep in front of the stone, trying to get it to land within a circle, in order to score. Mexican wrestling's Luche Libre tour is in Phoenix this weekend. See some action packed wrestling with the tour's masked warriors like Super Crazy, Shane "Hurricane" Helms and Solar. Four Peaks Brewery is holding its Four Peaks Fest Saturday. The event will be at the Four Peaks tasting room located at 2401 S. Wilson St., in Tempe. Those attending can taste nine different specialty strong beers, along with the Four Peaks brews on tap. PINNACLE PEAK PATIO WILD WEST FEST
Pinnacle Peak's first Wild West Fest is Saturday. It'll be at the Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, located at 10426 E. Jomax Road in Scottsdale. The event will feature stunt shows and gunfights, western entertainment and food and drink specials. There will also be a Blacksmith Shop, your chance to take western photos and there will be a kids corral with face painting and temporary tattoos.
