TEMPE, Ariz. – The Broadway and Tony Award-winning musical "Evita" is at ASU Gammage through Sunday.
The musical is based on the true story of Eva Perón, who rose from poverty to the First Lady of Argentina.
Tess Rafols spoke with Desi Oakley, one of the actresses playing Evita, on "Good Morning Arizona" Wednesday.
Rafols asked Oakley how it is to play the main character.
“It’s amazing and exciting every day, thrilling. She is a character, a powerful woman who did so much, and studying and portraying her every day has been a dream come true,” Oakley said.
