PHOENIX -- Musical artist Prince is playing Tempe's Marquee Theatre Wednesday night as part of his Live Out Loud 2013 Tour. But he won't be alone on stage.
All female band Third Eye Girl will join Prince on stage. Donna Grantis on guitar, Ida Nielson on bass and Hannah Ford on drums make up the backup band.
On Tuesday's Good Morning Arizona, Kaley O'Kelley got to meet the band and hear more about the new Prince stage show.
"It's a very wide variety of show as far as the music and the look," says Hannah Ford. "It's smaller than what you would see in an arena or stadium."
Fans hoping to hear classics like Raspberry Beret and Little Red Corvette might be in for a surprise. We're told you can expect an eclectic mix of music, with heavy emphasis on his newer material.
Kaley asked what it's like to play with such a legendary artist. "It's amazing. It's inspiring," says Donna Grantis. "It's just such a rush to be up on stage and make music together."
The Prince 2013 Tour will be staged in 8 cities with up to 4 shows performed in each city. Additional tour dates may be added.
