SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – A new line of workout clothes developed by a Scottsdale sports kinesiologist expert is designed to help you get the most from your exercise by telling you what you’re doing right and wrong as you’re doing it.

3TV’s Heidi Goitia talked Zig Ziegler about his 3D-SMART Garments. The clothing is equipped with sensors that monitor the wearer’s activity and feed it to cloud-based software that analyzes it and then offers advice to improve -- in real time.

“I’ve spent the last 20 years developing strength conditioning program for athletes and one of the things I’ve found is there’s a big gap in the accuracy of information that we give to athletes and even people in a clinical or a rehab setting,” Ziegler explained.

The motion capture hardware is similar to that used to make movies and video games.

“You can get real-time verbal feedback,” Ziegler said. “Tasia [the software] is monitoring you more accurately that your physical therapist, your trainer or your coach. So, if there’s an imbalance she lets you know right away, but, more importantly, she’ll let you know right away what to do to correct it.”

The data from the sensors is analyzed by software on a Windows computer or an iOS or Android mobile device.

“We developed this software to act like your own personal trainer or coach,” Ziegler explained. “We designed this to be able to benefit anyone, whether they’re a novice or beginning exerciser or even a professional athlete.”

There are three kits: RunRite 3D, FitRite 3D and GolfRite 3D.

Performance 3D locations:
