PHOENIX -- Anyone looking to get back to Arizona's roots while celebrating Independence Day can find a taste of western flair at Rawhide in Chandler. However, cowboy-themed fun isn't the only unique thing the western town has to offer this July 4th weekend.
Rawhide's Mark Grado and Chef Jonathan Scott joined 3TV's Javier Soto to talk about the food, fun and fireworks that will be lighting up the east Valley.
While most of the state is only authorized to shoot off 5-inch shell fireworks, Rawhide has been approved for 8-inch shell fireworks, so the explosions could be some of the biggest around.
The menu at the steakhouse in Rawhide has also changed. According to Scott, it's for the better. Scott said the restaurant, as a whole, is trying to improve the quality of the ingredients used and that a private farm will be providing the Black Angus beef for steaks.
On top of the fireworks and steaks, Rawhide will offer fudge, wine and beer tasting, margaritas and plenty of family friendly fun like water and bubble guns. "Red, White & Rawhide" will be in action on July 4th and 5th. For more information, visit Rawhide's website.
