RM Auctions is a two-day event featuring 125 high-end cars, including the gorgeous Duesenberg.
"We have something for everyone," car specialist Ian Kelleher told 3TV's Scott Pasmore as he showed him the rare Duesenberg.
"The fantastic thing part this car is it has an 83-year chain of ownership -- known history from new," he explained.
"It has received the very best of loving care," according to the car's description on the RM Auctions website. "For 83 years, it has never been advertised for sale; instead, it has been passed from friend to friend, with a handshake and the expectation that it will become a beloved possession."
While you might thing such a wonderful piece of machinery belongs on display, Kelleher said that's not the case.
"This is a car that wouldn't spend very much time in the museum," he told Pasmore. "This is a car that's meant to drive. It is absolutely fantastic."
A Model J "disappearing top" convertible, the car is one of fewer than 25 in existence. It has its original engine, chassis and body and only 30,000 actual miles.
The RM Auctions Arizona event is Thursday and Friday. While the auction itself is open only to registered bidders, the previews are open to the public. Those previews are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days.
