PHOENIX -- When Jeff Lewis of Mesa lost his hands and feet in 2005, he thought he might never play golf again. Thanks to Phoenix-based Ping, he's on the links and enjoying every minute.
Lewis, a math teacher at Mesa Mountain View, was accidentally shot by a neighbor's son in 1985. He lost his spleen. He developed a step infection 20 years later. While the infection is fairly common, without a spleen it became potentially deadly to Lewis, costing him his hands and feet, as well as parts of his nose and ears.
Scott Pasmore introduced us to Lewis and showed us how Ping's innovations allow him to play the game he loves.
