SCOTTSDALE -- It's a bar, a restaurant, and an arcade all rolled into one! The newest hot spot to hit Old Town Scottsdale has something for everyone.

The King, which opens at 4:00 p.m. Friday, bills itself as the state's first so-called "bar-cade."  It's an arcade filled with games and activities, as well as a spot to grab some drinks with friends.

"Basically what we wanted to do was just create a humble neighborhood bar," says owner Tyler Christensen.

Besides pinball machines, you'll also find shuffleboard, darts, foosball, and even skeeball.

The video games include classics like Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat and Pac-Man.

The walls are also covered with king-themed paintings. Think Nat King Cole, King Tut, and King of Pop Michael Jackson.

The bar aims for a relaxed, fun and easy vibe. "We're kind of the antithesis of what is downtown Scottsdale," says Christensen. "Our drinks are super cheap. $3 wells, $5 foods on our menu. Big burgers and piles of fries."
