PHOENIX -- There's a new concept in massage therapy and it's coming to you -- literally.
In-home massages are not uncommon. Zane Kane has added a twist. Not only does he come to you, he brings the spa with him.
There's no set up in your house (so you don't have to worry about cleaning a space for the table) and when the massage is finished, you don't have to wait for him to pack up his gear. It's basically a spa that's in an RV.
"It just takes you away without being away," Kane said.
The Mobile Massage Suite is the first of the kind in the entire world, and it wasn't an easy concept to get rolling.
"There was no category for massage in a vehicle," Kane explained. "They had chiropractic in a vehicle, children's dentistry in a vehicle, and blood donation in a vehicle. There was no massage in a vehicle so I couldn't get insurance right away."
Kane is in the process of patenting the idea, which was born of a mistake at a client's home -- he accidentally spilled lotion on a Persian rug.
"This way it's great," Kane said. "I just pull up. They don't have to drive anywhere. ... When I'm done, I just drive away."
Offering a wide variety of massage techniques, Kane specializes in massage that are two hours and longer. He actually holds the world record for longest massage on a single person. It was a six-hour treatment.
“People don’t understand that it takes more than an hour to allow your body to relax, and to disconnect the mind from the body," he explained on his website. "Some people need two hours, three hours or up to five hours of continual muscle softening to really get them to relax.”
Kane is confident in his skills and insists that he gives the best massage in the world.
