TEMPE, Ariz. – It’s expected to be a traffic nightmare in Tempe Saturday because of the Pac-12 championship game and the Tempe Festival of the Arts.

Gina Maravilla, traffic reporter at 3TV, said the light rail will be the best way to get to Downtown Tempe on Saturday.

Maravilla rode the light rail from Central Avenue and Camelback Road to Sun Devil Stadium on "Good Morning Arizona" Friday. The ride took about 40 minutes.

Tickets cost $4 per person for a round-trip ride. Parking in Tempe may be more expensive and light rail riders can have a stress-free ride without the craziness of traffic.

The light rail will be running on a weekend schedule. Usually, there are only two-car trains on the weekend, but there will be three cars on Saturday, so riders will not have to wait too long to get on.

If going to Tempe for the arts festival, get off the light rail at Mill Avenue and Third Street. The light rail stop for the ASU game is Veterans Way and College Avenue, located right in front of Sun Devil Stadium.
