SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort.
The resort has transformed into a winter wonderland for its annual Christmas at the Princess holiday festival. It kicks off Thursday night with a tree lighting.
The enchanting hotel will glisten with holiday splendor featuring a four-story musical tree, the Desert Ice Holiday Rink, Princess Express Train, magical snowfalls, hot cocoa, carolers -- and best of all -- Santa. More than 1.6 million dazzling lights will illuminate the resort's majestic lagoons where visitors can stroll through a lit fantasy land.
Other holiday activities include marshmallow roasts, lighting of the menorah, crafts for the kids and an animated light show featuring five holiday scenes set to music.
The attractions are open to the public through Jan. 5.
Many of the attractions are complimentary. There is a fee for skating and for parking. Santa photos on Friday and Saturday night are complimentary when dining in one of the property's restaurants.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is located at 7575 E. Princess Drive in Scottsdale.
