PHOENIX -- We all have them -- pretty crocheted, lace and sheer fabrics. The problem is they sit in our closets because we don't know how to wear them and showing off our undies is not an option.

The key is to keep your layering interesting and create some modesty under your see-through clothing.

How can I wear a sheer top to the office?

Try using a blouse with ruffles in the front. These ruffles create more coverage in the front of the body. Your underpiece should be a full-size tank, not a camisole.

This creates a classy look that won't distract at the office.

When wearing a crocheted top or cardigan, start with pieces that compliments your crocheted  piece. Add your crocheted sweater or top over it  to create a fun layered look. Do not over-accessorize with this look; the interest of the fabrics is enough.

Sheer pieces always look great when toned down.

If you are going to wear them on their own, try a bandeau top underneath and make sure the occasion is appropriate for the look.

Just make sure you have the confidence to pull off the look. If it passes the demure and classy look, go for it.
