PHOENIX -- Many of us are on a budget, but that doesn't mean throwing style out the window.

Celebrity stylist Devy Walker says with just a little effort and time, you can create brand new outfits using things your already have in your closet and drawers.

It was a recent shopping trip that inspired her for this segment.

"I was at the mall the other day and feel in love with a bohemian vest until I looked at the price tag. It was $150,” she explained. “I decided to go home and review the small scarf collection I never wear. I was surprised at all the possibilities I had.

“After looking at a few YouTube videos, I realized with a couple of knots, bracelets and ribbon, I could make several new fabulous pieces to add to my wardrobe."

Walker, who also is a fashion consultant and personal shopper, shared step-by-step ways to create several new looks.

Bohemian vest
Fold a scarf longways and add one knot.

Jeweled neck long tunic
Pull a stretchy bracelet to the middle of the scarf. Attach a ribbon, leather or necklace to bracelet and tie around your neck. Knot the two pieces of scarf that fall at your lower back

Retro dress (requires large rectangular scarf)
Tie too ends under the arm on both sides. This creates a diagonal drape that extends to the waist. Finish off the look with a cute belt.

Short-sleeve belted top
Fold scarf in half. Put seam side of scarf back to front around shoulders. Add a skinny belt and adjust scarf to fill out waist to belt area. This pieces is great for summer travel to a cooler climate for a chic dining outfit.
