PHOENIX -- How many times during the summer months do your kids ask for a soda? While it can be a fizzy treat once in awhile, parents often don't want children to have that much sugar.
A good alternative can be whipping up some natural sodas on your own.
Hogan Jamison from True Food Kitchen showed us great ways that folks of all ages can blend up some natural, lower-sugar sodas at home.
They featured a watermelon-lemonade soda, and it's on the menu. Ingredients include watermelon, the juice of a lemon, and a squeeze of honey.
"We like to use fresh, seasonal produce," says Jamison. "Use the natural sweetness of the watermelon instead of the sugars and stuff they put in sodas."
