Crayon on hard surfaces: Spray a paper towel with WD-40 and firmly wipe over the crayon, turning the towel and reapplying as needed. Wash the air well with hot water and undiluted liquid dish soap (I like Dawn). Rinse well.
Formula and baby food stains: Apply a solution of 1 part Dawn Original or Dawn Ultra Dish Soap and 2 part 3-percent hydrogen peroxide (this is the kind you buy at the drug store) and work it in well. Let sit for 15 minutes or so and then launder. Be sure the stain is out before you put it in the dryer. Dryer heat sets stains. Reapply if needed.
Training pants and kids underwear: Soak them in a bucket of hot water and a tablespoon of automatic dishwasher detergent for an hour. Dump in the washer and launder as usual. To remove lingering odors at ¼ cup of 20 Mule Team Borax to the wash. Odorzout for laundry also works great. Use 1 teaspoon per load of laundry. Read about it at queenofclean.com. If you have trouble finding it in the store you can purchase in the online store.
Stuffed animals: When they are really bad and washing is the only option, put them in a lingerie bag and use mild soap and cold water. Don’t put in the dryer.
Great spotters to keep on hand: Carbona Stain Devils. They are individual bottles of spotter for specific problems such as milk, grease, juice, etc. Look for them in the grocery store and pick up a few of them to use on your problem stains.
