PHOENIX -- The ladies of "Good Morning Arizona" share their favorite gifts to give for the holidays.  Their ideas range from practical to fun to sentimental.

Gina has a great gift idea for a girlfriend that is all about women helping women.  Chances For Children is an organization that helps orphans in Haiti. Leaders say often mothers in the Caribbean country will bring their children to an orphanage because they simply cannot afford to feed them.  So Chances for Children has an artisan program that empowers these mothers to help themselves and their children. The moms create jewelry from discarded materials such as cereal and cracker boxes, oil drums, and trash paper to create "upcycled" pieces of jewelry.  Prices are practical, ranging from $8 to $22. You can click here to order earrings, necklaces, bracelets, key chains and ornaments.  Organizers say if you order by Thursday, Dec. 19, you can receive it in time for Christmas.

April’s favorite thing to give this year is a portable speaker called "The Mighty Joe." April met the maker of this speaker at the Home and Garden Show last year and found out that Soundape is a local company.  She bought "The Mighty Joe" and has used it every night while making dinner, has taken it to the beach and even in the backyard while playing ball with the kids.  The tiny speaker comes in pink or black and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.  It plugs into your iPhone, but also works for computers or iPads, too. The Mighty Joe is available online at soundape.com for about $35.

Kaley loves to give the gift of fun for the hostess of a great party. For someone with kids, Kaley loves to give a ready-to-decorate sugar cookie kit with three colors of icing.  It is $19.99 at the Fry's Food Bakery, 4707 E. Shea Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85208.

Yetta recommends the Ettache Case for the electronics junkie in your life. It was created by a Phoenix man who wanted something that would hold all of his devices in an orderly way.  The Ettache Case has customized foam inserts that cradle any device you might have, and charges all the devices as they sit in the case.
