SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – A Scottsdale breakfast eatery is offering patrons free coffee this week, no strings attached.
3TV’s Heidi Goitia stopped by Scramble, A Breakfast Joint in Scottsdale Monday morning to get the details, and it’s very simple. You can pick up a free 16-ounce drip coffee between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. every morning through Friday at the Scottsdale location, which opened less than six months ago.
“Scottsdale has been fantastic to us,” general manager Cameron Froment said. “They’ve been very welcoming. We want to pay it forward and give it back a little bit.”
No purchase is necessary and there are no special requirements to get the free coffee.
“They need to show up, and that’s it,” Froment said. “Between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., they walk in and they get free coffee.
“Normally, when you buy your cup, it would be all you can drink, and take it with you,” he continued. “It’s the same, of course, when it’s free. Come in, drink as much as you want. Top it off when you leave. It’s a great value, even better now that we’re giving it away for free this week.”
Scramble is focused on sourcing locally whenever possible.
“It’s part of our heartbeat,” Froment said. “Local is huge to us.”
The coffee, for example, is Miscela D’Oro from Espresso Italia in Tempe. Scramble’s bread comes from Strictly From Scratch while the produce is from Peddler’s Son and the sausage is from Schreiner’s. The eggs are Hickman’s.
Scramble is located at 6590 N. Scottsdale Road, on the northwest corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Scottsdale Road. It’s open for breakfast and lunch daily, 6 a.m.- 2 p.m.
