PHOENIX -- It just wouldn't be Cinco de Mayo without some folklorico dance, which celebrates the colorful tradition of Mexican folklore.

Javier Soto was joined Monday by a colorful troupe of folklorico dancers from Chandler.

"The folklorico dance is how we celebrate our culture," says Gloria Garza-Wells of the Si Se Puede Foundation. "We teach others about the traditions of our culture."

Dancers starteing as young as age 5 don the colorful costumes to tell a story through music and dance. "Every dance signifies a part of Mexico, and the dances they celebrate in those certain towns," Garza-Wells explains.

The dancers perform for multiple of events in Phoenix throughout the year.
