PHOENIX -- It's the busiest shipping day of the year for FedEx as some 30,000 workers throughout the country pitch in to lend Santa a hand.

FedEx expects to handle some 19 million packages Monday alone. Not only is that up 10 percent from last year, it's more than double the volume on a typical day.

Gibby Parra spent the morning at the FedEx facility near 32nd Street and Thomas Road, lending a head as drivers loaded up their trucks and headed out to deliver some holiday cheer.
