Fairy Godmothers of Arizona, Metrocenter team up for prom dress event

MESA, Ariz, -- Dresses and earrings and shoes, oh my! Hosted by Metrocenter Mall and organized by non-profit group Fairy Godmothers of Arizona, the second annual Metrocenter Prom Fair makes it affordable for high school junior and senior girls to dress for their prom, regardless of financial hardship.

Students can shop for and purchase a new or gently used prom gown for $10, and accessories for $2 to $6. The event takes place this weekend (Feb. 22-23), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

  • No appointment necessary, but selection and appointments are first come, first served
  • Open to high school junior and senior girls only with a valid student ID or report card
  • After signing into the event, students are assigned a "personal shopper" to assist with the selection of their gown, accessories and final purchase

All purchases are cash only
