PHOENIX -- Women always want to look their best, but that can be tough to do sometimes, not to mention expensive.
But looking good doesn't have to cost a fortune. We caught up with a skin care expert who had some easy ways to look and feel you best with things found around your own home.
For example: got a pimple? Skin care expert Therese Clark says all you need is an aspirin. "Actually, it acts as an instant zit-zapper," Clark says. "What you want to do is just dilute it in water, and you spot touch. You're going to leave it one for 30 seconds until it dries, and then you're going to just brush it off."
For tougher acne, or for teens with break-outs, she advises start taking Vitamin B5. The good-for-you vitamin can also be found in broccoli, lentils and yogurt.
For your hair, Moroccan Oil has been a go-to product for years. But it can be pricey. If you can make your own hair oil at home from stuff in your pantry, it will save you some cash. "Coconut oil can act like Moroccan Oil," Clark says.
Also, one of the best ways to protect your skin is to use a sunscreen. But Clark says you don't need SPF higher than 30. "It's very confusing out there," she says. "You put 50-plus on, and the sunscreen laws are changing all the time. And it really is a marketing thing."
She says some of the best sunscreens that don't contain chemicals can be found at drugstores
