Cardinals Cheerleaders host dance clinics to help hopefuls before tryouts

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Do you have the moves to become an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader? Auditions are coming up, and the current squad is hosting a series of dance clinics to help hopefuls get ready.

The Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders will hold open tryouts for the 2014 squad on Saturday-Sunday, April 12-13 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort (2400 E. Missouri Avenue, Phoenix). To assist with tryout preparations, the Cardinals Cheerleaders will host six dance clinics for applicants to learn the style, expectations, and format of the cheerleading program.
The dance clinics will be held at the team's Training Facility (8701 S. Hardy Dr., Tempe) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Thursday, Feb. 27
  • Thursday, March 6
  • Thursday, March 13
  • Thursday, March 20
  • Thursday, March 27
  • Thursday, April 3

Each dance clinic will be taught by current members of the cheerleading team and will be followed with a review process at the end of each clinic. The fee for each prep class is $25 with a discount for participants who attend multiple clinics.

The Cardinals Cheerleaders perform at all home games and also appear at a variety of community activities as well as trade shows, conventions, grand openings, banquets, company picnics, auctions, fairs, parades, and national telethons.
