PHOENIX -- Ghosts and other scary characters may be around this time of year, but kids can all enjoy other less frightening activities during Halloween season.

The 24th annual Boo! at the Zoo is taking place at Phoenix Zoo this weekend, and it is a fright-free Halloween tradition.

The event takes places Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. both days.

At Boo! at the Zoo, kids can come in costume and enjoy all kinds of treats. There will also be a magic show, kids' activities, a fall festival maze, a pumpkin patch, and a "mask-querade" ball.

Zoo animals will also be participating in the Pumpkin Stomp and Chomp where they can eat pumpkins donated by Fry's Food and Drug.

Boo! At the Zoo is included with regular admission tickets.
