PHOENIX -- In honor of Friday the 13th, Phoenix’s 13th Floor will be opening for its third season at 7 p.m. Friday night. Good Morning Arizona got a preview of the haunted house, located off the I-17 and Bell Road.
“We’re going to have characters here to delight you, entertain you, and pretty much scare your britches off,” said Jacob Redwood, performance manager of the 13th Floor.
At the haunted house, visitors get in an elevator and are taken to the 13th floor. Most buildings usually don’t have a 13th floor in them.
“We’re here to show you why buildings don’t have a 13th floor,” Redwood said.
The 13th floor takes up 68,000 square feet and has a variety of haunted rooms and scary characters. If visitors survive the 13th Floor, they are taken over to a second show called Zombieland.
The haunted house is gauged for ages 12 and up, but Redwood said every person’s ability to handle the attraction will be different.
It is the first year the 13th Floor is opening on Friday the 13th.
“We’re prepared to entertain Phoenix,” Redwood said. "We’re going to have all of our monsters, ghouls, and icons out there to give you a show.”
Tickets cost $24.99 per person. For more information, visit: http://www.13thflooraz.com/.
