Lift-Off Opener
Ever since pull-tab cans came out, I have been complaining about spilling half of the product on the counter while trying to open the can, broken fingernails and cut fingers.
Finally, there's a way to open those cans without spilling, breaking or cutting -- the Lift-Off Opener. Why didn't I think of that? It's so simple to use and inexpensive to buy you'll want one in the kitchen, in lunchboxes and the car.
You just push the opener onto the tab as far forward as possible, lift up and bring the opener back down, using the edge of the can as leverage and continue moving in a downward direction. Presto! The lid is off and you haven't spilled a drop.
Look for the Lift-Off Opener at Fry's, Walgreens, Bashas' and Ace Hardware stores, usually where the Campbell's Soup is sold. It's only $2.99.
Cushy Cupboards
This is a wonderful new shelf and drawer liner that I found at the International Housewares Show in Chicago this year. This liner is amazing. There's no sticking it down to the shelves and never getting it back up. And it's not like the rubbery kind that nothing slides on. This is totally new.
Kitchenware slides into place. It protects shelves, lies flat and cushions dishes. It's water resistant, easy to clean, stain resistant, simple to install (again, no adhesive) easy to trim and custom fit and ideal for wire shelving.
I put it in my cupboards and drawers, including the one in the bathroom where my styling product leaks all the time. It basically will last forever.
If you have wire shelves, put this on and spills won't fall through and on wire closet shelves, clothes won't have dimples from the wire.
Look for it at Kitchen Classics, 4041 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. A 12-inch wide roll runs $12.98, and 24-inch wide rolls are $19.98. You'll never invest in shelf liner again.
Do they work?
They sure do!
