World's most amazing iron!
12:40 PM Mountain Standard Time on Tuesday, September 19, 2006
There is an amazing new iron on the market called the Oliso Touch and Glide. What's so amazing about it? It knows when to stand up! That's right. No more standing the iron on end, tipping it over, burning your arms or scorching fabric. This iron has the Auto-Lift System, and I am truly blown away by it.
It's very easy to use.
Leave the iron laying flat on its soleplate. Switch on the Auto-Lift and never stand the iron upright again. Let go of the handle and the Auto-Lift spacers (legs) will pop up, lifting the iron off of the ironing surface. Touch the handle and the Auto-Lift spacers retract and you are off and ironing again.
Not only does the Touch and Glide have a built-in funnel for filling the water tank, it also has a special measurer to do it with.
It has a steam selector that is easy to read and use.
The electronic fabric selector knob is clear and easy to use.
The iron is weighty, but because you are not lifting it up and down, it is not tiring to iron with it. I did nine blouses in a row and the carpal tunnel in my wrist didn't complain once.
This is a must-have iron. I love it and intend to give away my old iron and keep using this. It just does a great job and it's actually fun to use.
Pricing runs between $89 and $119, depending on where you buy it.
Amazon.com and the Home Shopping Network (HSN) have it for $89. It's also available at Ace Hardware, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Fry's Electronics and, of course, the Oliso Web site -- www. Oliso.com. To find a store near you, call 1-800-899-5157.
Trust me on this one. This is a terrific iron and well worth the cost.
