TRACE ADKINS NARRATES CHILDREN'S BOOK

UNDATED (AP) -- Trace Adkins is the narrator for a free children's ebook from the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum. He's a father of five daughters, so it's a good bet he's read a bedtime story or two. He's also a history buff. So he says it made him "proud" to tell the true story of a mail-service dog named Owney who used to ride mail trains and visit post offices around the country. The ebook and iPad app for "Owney: Tales from the Rails" also has a soundtrack featuring a song by Adkins. He says the song and story provide a fun way for families to learn together.
