PHOENIX -- We're just days away from the opening of the much-anticipated new Twilight movie -- "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I."
It the first half of the final chapter in a series of books written by Stephanie Meyer of Arizona. So much happening in the fourth and final book, "Breaking Dawn," that producers decided to split it into two movies, a la Harry Potter.
Part I opens this weekend; the second movie is slated for November 2012.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I" centers around the wedding of Bella and Edward and the imminent arrival of a baby.
Taylor Lautner, who plays the werewolf Jacob, has more screen time and more interaction with the vampires in this movie as his role becomes pivotal to the survival of Bella, Edward and their child.
"I got to spend half of my time with my wolf pack and then half my time with the Cullens," Lautner explained.
While fans are stoked for this weekend's opening, they'll have to wait a year for the final installment of the story that's become a worldwide phenomenon.
"I can tell you, the wait will be worth it," Lautner said. "This one is my favorite because it's different from any of the other ones, but the last one will be as epic as they come."
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I" is rated PG-13.
