PHOENIX – Part two of Dr. Phil McGraw’s exclusive sit-down interview with George and Cindy Anthony, the parents of Casey Anthony and grandparents of Caylee Anthony airs Wednesday evening, and McGraw says once again, may people are going to be frustrated by what the couple has to say.
The first part of the three-part interview air Tuesday evening. During that show, Cindy talked about a grand mal seizure Casey had, wondering if perhaps she had a brain tumor.
McGraw said Casey was tested and nothing was found.
“I don’t know if she had a seizure that day and blacked out. I don’t know what happened,” Cindy said. “That’s what I want to find out down the road.”
Even if Casey did have seizures, it does not explain what happened to Caylee in any way, shape or form.
“Grand mal seizures do not cause people to do the things that are in questions here,” McGraw said. “It simply does not.”
This second part of the interview could be stunning for some people.
“We get down to the nitty-gritty of what people want to know,” McGraw said.
One of the questions he tackles is the discovery of Caylee’s body in a wooded area near the Anthony home.
“Can they wrap their minds around that their daughter wrapped their grandbaby in a Winnie the Pooh blanket, got on her knees in the woods, dug a hole and stuck her in there and days later was dancing in a ‘hot body’ contest?” McGraw asked. “I confront them with that reality.”
Another issue McGraw addresses head-on is George’s suicide attempt.
He then asks the Anthonys point-blank if they think Caylee drowned and if not, what do they believe happened.
“They give me straight-forward answers that I think people are going to be really surprised about,” McGraw said. “We confront the things that I think people are really frustrated to know the answers to.”
“Dr. Phil” airs on 3TV weeknights at 7 p.m., and repeats the next day at 1 p.m. The interview with the Anthonys is a three-part series that wraps up on Monday.
