I'm not big on chains (unless they're full of bling and around my neck), but Ruby Tuesday works hard to be an un-corporate restaurant in a corporate world.
That effort begins with fresh local produce (on display at the extensive salad bar), choice beef for "handcrafted" burgers and an appealing menu that has moved away from a less-than-healthy bar and grill format.
Admittedly, the cozy, den-like decor still smacks of the '70s, but who cares? The menu offerings -- which range from jumbo lump crab cake and Thai Phoon Shrimp to Chicken Portobello and dry-rubbed baby back ribs -- feel as up-to-the-minute as the latest scoop on Lindsay Lohan.
Try the Triple Prime burger and the fresh strawberry lemonade and you'll be singing "Hello (not 'Goodbye') Ruby Tuesday."
