SCOTTSDALE -- Looking for great food at a great price? (Who isn't?) Trader Vic's has just thing -- 1950's prices on appetizers during Happy Hour. Moo Shu Pork for $1. A 6-ounce Chinese Oven Roasted Maui Burger with Sweet Potato Fries (which are so good) for $2. Almond Duck Tidbits with Plum Sauce for $3. And that $3 is the most expensive price on this happy hour menu. (It that's not happy, I don't know what is.)
I recently joined a friend for appetizers and we made a dinner out of it. We ordered the burger, a slider and shrimp and had way too much to eat! Seriously, the burger and fries is plenty for a meal. Everything on the menu is wonderful, so you can't go wrong. (I do admit some amount of bias. Trader Vic's is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet.)
At these 1950's prices, you can taste several of Chef Justin Pfeilsticker's with Chef Charles Wiley's creations without straining your wallet.
Drink specials are also available. (They're known not only for their fabulous Polynesian-inspired concoctions, but founder Victor J. "Trader Vic" Bergeron invented the Mai Tai.)
