TONOPAH -- Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested a Tonopah man after a horse was found malnourished and dehydrated at his home.
Deputies following up on a call of animal abuse Friday found a brown horse lying down behind a trailer at the home of Glenn Allen White, 47. The horse didn't move when deputies approached it.
According to the sheriff's office, the horse was evaluated by a veterinarian and humanely euthanized due to severe malnourishment and dehydration.
White was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on two felony animal cruelty charges and one animal neglect charge.
