PHOENIX - The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) is overflowing with chihuahuas and they are hoping there are people out there who are wanting to adopt.

Close to 200 of these lap dogs are currently at the shelter, with some kennels housing four dogs.

Fourth of July is right around the corner and MCACC needs to make some extra space as this is their busiest time of the year.

To ease the crowding MCACC is having a Super Chihuahua Adoption Special June 20th - June 30th. The adoption fee for all small dogs over 1 year old is $51.  The price includes spay/neuter surgery, a 4-in-1 vaccination and a rabies vaccination.

For more information on MCACC, visit www.pets.maricopa.gov or call (602) 506-7387.
