AHS Pet of the Week - Lilac

by Arizona Humane Society

At the age of one Lilac has already lived a hard life, and when she was found she was struggling survive as starving stray who had been wandering the streets for weeks or maybe months. The long and difficult journey didn’t end when she arrived at the Arizona Humane Society. Shortly after she was spayed she came down with a kitty cold, and she was sent to our Second Chance Animal Hospital™ to recover from the sniffles.

With a heavy heart, Lilac faces another difficult turn in life… finding a forever human companion. As the weeks pass by, Lilac’s heart continues to ache, and she has become a member of our Lonely Hearts Club meaning she has been looking for a home for over a month now. With a soft “pastel version” of the bold tortie, Lilac’s colorful coat is swirling with gray, tan and cream colors. Kitty hugs, whisker rubs, and a thundering purr make her a wonderful cuddle buddy during an afternoon nap on the couch.

Lilac will need plenty of time to adjust to the other four-legged roommates in her new home as well as small children so be patient.

She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road, Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $20. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar, a pet carrier, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up exam. For more information, please call 602-997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal I.D. number A279929 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter, however, the AHS has dozens more wonderful pets that might also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all adoptable animals right now, visit www.azhumane.org/findapet.
